Tradition Golf Course at Treetops
The last golf course installed at Treetops Resort, Tradition is also the third and final Treetops course designed by Rick Smith, who took us back to the roots of golf. Enjoy the look and feel of Irish golf “traditions” (get it?) with relatively flat terrain, links-style design, fast and firm playing conditions with a bit of brown, and short, wooden pins.
Playing the Treetops Tradition Course
Many regulars consider Tradition to be the easiest course at Treetops. Wide, well-groomed fairways, fast greens that are visible from the tee box, and a fun layout offer a pleasurable round. In other words, Tradition won’t beat you up like some other courses (we’re looking at you, Masterpiece). The hole design is varied and challenging, but you won’t see the massive elevation changes encountered at our other courses.
Tradition Pro Tip: Tradition has zero water hazards and 86 bunkers. Keep a wedge handy.
The Tradition course is located at Treetops North, which is approximately a 10-minute drive from the main property. There are no cart paths on Tradition, like the courses you’ll find overseas.
Plan for a little more than four hours under normal conditions. This is the only walkable course at Treetops; plan for a slightly longer day if you choose to walk.
